Bhubaneswar: The Odisha police DGP Abhay Thursday reviewed the Covid-19 guidelines enforcement position in the twiin city of Cuttack and Bhubaneswar with senior officers.
The meeting decided to intensity enforcement in market areas and specified hot spots (which keep changing from weekend to weekdays). To enhance enforcement, it was decided to provide fifty more officers and 5 platoons more armed police to twin city.
Bhubaneswar will be divided in three zones for purpose of Covid enforcement with one DCP looking after each zone.
Twin city commissionerate police will seek public cooperation by an awareness drive.
To boost the confidence and morale of the force it was decided that twin city police will collect more PPE kits and face shield from State Central Store and encourage their personnel to use the same. Good care will be taken of Police personnel who are infected with Covid.
Bhubaneswar-Cuttack Commissioner of Police Sudhanshu Sarangi, IG of Police (L & O) S. Praveen Kumar, IPS, Bhubaneswar DCP Umashankar Dash, Cuttack DCP Prateek Singh, and AIG of Police (Hdqrs) Vivekanand Sharma were present.
