Bhubaneswar: Indian Railways IT innovator Rajeev Sharma has taken over the charge of additional general manager (AGM) in East Coast Railway(ECoR).  An officer of the Indian Railway Service of Signal Engineers (IRSSE), Rajeev has introduced “Dial a Wheel Chair Service” and  Electronic Token Distribution Scheme for Tatkal Queue Management in North Western Railway & North Central Railway respectively. He has rich experience of execution of number of railway signalling and telecom projects that include Auxiliary Warning System (AWS), first Digital Microwave & Optical Fiber Projects in Indian Railways.

Rajeev , a B.E (Electronics & Communication) from IIT, Roorkee and M.Tech from IIT, Delhi, joined Railways in 1981. He worked in various capacities in Railways like Divisional Railway Manager at Jodhpur and as Executive Director Signal (Development) at Railway Board, New Delhi. He was chief vigilance officer of North Western Railway at Jaipur before his posting in Bhubaneswar.
