Bhubaneswar: Odisha chief minister Naveen Patnaik Tuesday announced that the 4.5 lakh state government employees would get 7th Pay Commission salary from September, 2017.
Stating that the state government has accepted the recommendation of the R.Balakrishnan Committee report and decided to implement the 7th Pay Commission salary in the state from September 1, 2017.
He said 4.5 lakh state government employees and 3.5 lakh pensions would get enhanced salary and higher pension from September. According to him this pay hike would cost Rs 4,500 crore to the state government per annum.
