Bhubaneswar: SOA Community Radio has won a nomination  in the ‘Best Jingle’ category surrounding the subject of routine immunization under ‘Mission Indradhanush’ for this year’s Unicef-Association of Radio Operatros of India (Aroi) Radio4Child Awards 2.

RJ Gour and RJ KP from SOA Radio will be attending the awards function to be held in Mumbai on November 10 next. Unicef celebrity advocate Madhuri Dixit will grace the function along with several dignitaries from the world of radio and media.

Leveraging its strategic partnership with the Association of Radio Operators of India (AROI), UNICEF has been conducting capacity building workshops for Private FM as well as All India Radio journalists since 2014 for creating meaningful and appealing radio jingles and talk shows to effectively deliver the message of child health and routine immunization, a UNICEF communication said.

“It is a significant achievement for our fledgling community radio station and we hope to contribute towards a variety of social causes in the future,” Ms. Honey Patnaik, Officer in charge of the radio station, said.

The awards event will showcase the best entries received among a total of 120 entries. The categories included best PSA, best Jingle, best RJ Link, best Creative Campaign, Mission Indradhanush best Radio Spot award and Message Clarity Award.
