Bhubaneswar: Xpressions-2017, one of the biggest B-school festivals of the country got off here on Friday with lot of enthusiasm and gaiety. Hosted by Xavier Institute of Management, Bhubaneswar(Ximb), the 21st edition of the event is going to be a three-day brain storming affairs for the students from various B-schools and colleges in and around the city. There would be doses of fun and frolic too during these three days.
The Ximb campus is bustling with student activities as students from various institutions poured into the campus to participate in the annual fete.
The Xpressions 2017 opened with students exhibiting their argumentative power in the event like Model United Natioins(Mun) and showcasing their managerial skills in Skill City. They also crooned in Goonj singing competition.
Regular events like Kurushetra, Helios, Gladiator are seems to be popular among the students. Case in Point- a national-level HR case study competition organized by XIMAHR and Parikrama- a national-level online scavenger hunt organized by XSYS going to be part of the Xpression-2017. Similarly, catering to the nuances of various verticals of the corporate world, Xpressions going to see likes of Maven, Trade Wars, Mpower, Urbaniac, and HabituX besides EnigmaX, an online treasure hunt organized exclusively for the XIMB alumni.
While Decibelz, the war of bands brings with it rock music, is going to keep the crowd enthralled. The students would tap their feet in Thirkana and exhibit their theatrical excellence in Aaghaz. Boys and girls will walk on the ramp in Carnival De Vogue.
The three day XIMB extravaganza will come to an end on Sunday with a high note from Farhan Akhtar, the Bollywood singer who keeps the youngsters swing to his tunes.
” The students are quite enthusiastic and full of zeal”, said Medha Sharma of Media & PR Cell. Stating that the number of participants this year has increased, she said the campus is expecting more footfall this year.
