Cuttack: Protesting against transfer of a judge without filling up the vacancies on time, the lawyers of Orissa high court Thursday decided to abstain from court work till Friday.
The general body of the High Court Bar Association made a unanimous resolution when the lawyers raised the issue of recent transfer of a judge from here to the Madras High Court.
The pesident of the bar association, Ashok Parija, said that the high court here has a strength of 18 judges, including the chief justice, against the sanctioned strength of 22 judges.
