Rourkela: It was a day for ladies. The ladies were taken around the work places their husbands are working.
Starting from Octobcer 17, the wives of employees working in Steel Melting Shop-I & II, Coke Oven Plant, CPP-I, transport department, traffic and raw material department were taken around the plant on various days. The spouses were explained the functioning of various units of the plant during the visit.
The RSP personnel department coordinated all the events along with the officers of departments concerned. Documentaries on SAIL-RSP and Safety were screened during the interaction sessions. The Senior officers interacted with the visitors and apprised them of the different aspects of working in the steel industry. There was tremendous enthusiasm and curiosity among the ladies with regard to the workplace of their husbands and the modernization units of RSP.
DGM SMS-I A Chattopadhyay, DGM SMS-II(Mechanical) B Sadual, DGM Transport N R Dwivedy, DGM CPP-I S.K. Thakur, and DGM TRM Anjani Kumar attended the spouses during their visit to the plant.
Stating that RSP has launched a new initiative “Pragati Re Pathe….. Aama Parivar Aama Sathi ” with the objective of strengthening the bonding with the spouses of employees, a plant spokesperson said, as a part of this spouses of employees of various departments are being given an opportunity to visit the Plant and learn about the nuances of steel making and have a feel of the working and work environment inside a Steel Plant.
