Bhubanesar: The Odisha chief minister, Naveen Patnaik, Tuesday said that the state would set up a special industrial park if investors from Italy would be interested to to bring in investment to the park.
Patnaik said this while the Consul General of Italy Damiano Francovigh called on him at the state secretariat.
During the meeting, the chief minister invited the Italian companies to set up textile, auto component and chemical units in the proposed park. He urged the Consul General to bring in a delegation of Italian industries to explore the possibility of investments in Odisha. He also suggested for a round table meeting with the CEOs of Italian companies at the Make-In-Odisha Conclave scheduled to be held in November, 2018.
The Italian Consul General Francovigh, on his part, hailed the Odisha government for the growth in industries and trade. He also hoped that there would be a growth of trade and commerce in collaboration with Odisha.
