Cuttack: The International Art Sojourn-2018, organised by the Sri Sri University visual and performing Art department, here in the institution’s Naraj campus, concluded on Saturday. University organizes a prestigious International Art Sojourn– 2018 at the campus from 25 January to 03rd February 2018. Conceptualized and curated by ShamaSondhi, the 10-day International Sojourn witnessed the presence of eminent artists from India and countries like France, Sri Lanka, Ireland, Tunisia, Vietnam, Macau, Nepal, Australia.
The world came together to splash some colour on the blank canvas in the Sojourn. Artists, young and veterans, expressed their creativity and their flare for art.
The Sojourn was inaugurated by university vice chancellor Prof.Nand Lal, and director operation Narendra Lamba on December 25, 2017 .
The job of an Artist is to offer a sanctuary of beauty to an ugly wall and these artists have done a brilliant job in transpiring their ideas and presenting it in the most exquisite way. The paintings and artworks showcased ideas on culture, art and philosophy. Along with this, the artists attended various sessions on different art forms and techniques to enhance creativity through meditation. One of the artists from Nepal reflects, “This is a perfect platform for exchange of ideas”
An International Art Exhibition was organised on Friday where almost 30 master artworks created during this Sojourn exhibited . Around 100 students of different schools of city and renowned artist were witnessed the exhibition.
