Rourkela: Spouses of employees of coke ovens plant and coal chemical department of Rourkela Steel Plant had a day in the plant site.
As part of the HR initiative, ‘Pragati Re Pathe….. Aama Parivar Aama Sathi’ , a plant visit programme was organised for the spouses of as many as 19 employees of the two units, recently. The visitors were taken for sensitization tour around the different units of the plant.
The general manager (CO & CC), Biswajit Patnaik, chaired the interaction programme held during the sensitisation tour . Deputy general manager (Personnel & Works) B Kullu, deputy general manager(Personnel) D Mishra were present on the occasion.
During the interaction sessions the ladies appreciated the tough work life of the steel men and said that being the members of the RSP family, they would extend all co-operation to their spouses and the Steel Plant to excel in their endeavours.
Guided tours were conducted as a part of which the ladies were taken to important units of the Plant like Coke Oven Battery # 6, Blast Furnace # 5, Steel Melting Shop – II and New Plate Mill where they were explained different facets about the steel making process.
Assistant manager Sangeeta M Sindur coordinated the visit under the guidance of senior manager B Mallick.
