New Delhi:The West Bengal chief minister, Mamata Banerjee, has earned the sobriquet ‘Bengal Tigress’ for her aggressive political attitude.
But, Ram Jethmalani, the eminent lawyer of the country Ram Jethmalani wanted to see her as the ‘Heroine of Democracy’.
Jethmalani going round in Delhi political circle expressing his determination to project Mamata as the champion of democracy.
” Trinamool chief and West Bengal chief minister Mamata Banerjee is my selected heroine as the ruler of Indian democracy”, the senior lawyer has stated in a letter to his ministerial colleges in Vajpayee government. He has stated, ” I have thrown my lot and talent at the total disposal of honorable Mamata Banerjee and she has responded beautifully to my gesture and spoke out bravely that she would destroy the present BJP regime.”
The recipients of Jethmalani’s letter are Arun Shourie, Satrughan Sinha and Yashwant Sinha, all are dissident leaders better know for their criticism of Modi government.
