Bhubaneswar: The state culture department is organising the three-day 8th State Folk Dance & Folk Music Festival, here from April 2, 2018.
The state culture secretary, Manoranjan Panigrahi, said that more than 2000 folk artists of 30 troupes from 30 districts will participate in the Festival. Top 3 districts, 10 blocks and 10 artists besides three vice presidents of Zilla Kalakar Sankrutika Sangha(ZKSS), five vice presidents of Block Kala Sankrutika Sangha(BKSS), one from Nagar Kala Sanskruti Sangha(NKSS) and two of conservancy department would be felicitated on the occasion.
State culture director Bijaya Kumar Nayak, joint director Sanghamitra Satapathy, state project co-ordinator Basudev Malabisoi were present at the press conference addressed by the secretary.
