Bhubaneswar: JK Mohapatra, the former vice chancellor of Berhampur university, will be appointed as the first vice chancellor of the newly established Odia University. Mohapatra’s name has been cleared by the chief minister Naveen Patnaik on Tuesday.
The state government has decided to set up the Odia University at Satyabadi Bakula Bana in Puri district. The chief minister Naveen Patnik has already laid the foundation stone for the new university on October 9, 2018. The setting of the university is at promoting and propagating Odia language in and outside Odisha and abroad.
