Bhubaneswar: The 7th International Conference on Aluminium (Incal-2019) is going to be held in Bhubaneswar from 31st January to 3rd February 2019. The delegates of the conference, which is being organized by the AAI under the aegis of union ministry of mines, would take up current issues and exchange ideas on the growth and development of aluminium.

Alongside the conference, there will be a world class exhibition on the theme ‘Aluminium India’, being organized by Reed Exhibitions, Germany, in association with AAI. The aluminium giants of the country – Nalco, Vedanta and Hindalco have come together to make the global event a grand success.

The AAI chairman, Dr. Tapan Kumar Chand, said that the conference would draw Aluminium Roadmap 2030.

“This event will provide a mega platform to exchange ideas on latest technological advances, Aluminium Roadmap 2030, upstream & downstream integration, discover new opportunities, extensive networking, B2B meetings and many more pertaining to aluminium industry vis-à-vis the challenges and opportunities,” said Chand, who is also the Nalco CMD. The conference is also being planned to focus on ‘Think Aluminium: Think Odisha’, to promote Odisha as a destination for aluminium industries and aluminium capital of the country, he added.

The Conference besides having a world class program with the theme ‘Making Aluminium- Driving Growth and Development ‘, will deliberate on several key topics and issues of aluminium industry with a special session on Downstream Prospects and Emerging Applications of Aluminium.

This conference will be attended by top executives of global aluminium industries like Alcan of Canada, Alcoa of USA, Chalieco & Chinalco of China, Emal of Emirates, Dubal of Dubai, Rio Tinto, London, Russal of Russia, Norsk Hydro of Norway and equipment suppliers like FL Smidth of Denmark, SMS of Germany, Danielle, ALMEX & Properzi of Italy, Carbon Savoie of France. 

Over 700 delegates including 300 from abroad would participate in the conference. There will be 120 presentation papers and more than 30 poster presentations.   

Odisha governor Ganeshi Lal, chief minister Naveen Patnaik, and union minister for mines, Narendra Singh Tomar, union minister for petroleum Dharmendra Pradhan besides many ambassadors and consulate generals are going to grace the event.
