Bhopal:  Sudhi Ranjan Mohanty, who hails from Odisha become the new chief secretary of Madhya Pradesh. Mohanty, a 1982 batch IAS officer, is currently holding the post of president MP State Secondary Education Board. He will take charge on new year. The chief secretary incumbent BS Singh retired from service on Monday.

Mohanty was languishing in insignificant posts during the BJP rule in the state. After Congress coming to power, the new chief minister Kamal Nath offered him the top post in the state bureaucracy.
