Bhubaneswar: Yamini Sarangi, a 2008 batch IAS officer, is the new Higher Education Director.
According to a government notification published Saturday Sarangi, who is now the joint secretary to health & family welfare department is allowed to remain in charge of Director Higher Education.
Following the posting of Sarangi, the present director -in-charge Ramesh Rout will continue as additional director higher education till his superannuation in May this year.
Similarly, Archana Patnaik, a 2002 batch IAS officer of Tamil Nadu cadre, who is the managing director Odisha State Medical Corporation Ltd., with additional charge of commissioner Food Safety has been allowed to remain in additional charge of Director Tourism and managing director Odisha Tourism Development Corporation in addition to her own duties during the absence of Bibhuti Bhusan Patnaik proceeded on election observer duty.
