Bhubaneswar: Odisha Congress president Niranjan Patnaik is the richest among the candidates seeking their fate in the fourth phase elections to the state assembly, his son Navajyoti Patnaik is riches among the candidates contesting the remaining Lok Sabha seats in the fourth phase election due on April 29. Among the candidates for Lok Sabha BJD’s Rabindra Kumar Jena and BJP’s Baijyanta Panda are second and third richest after Navajyoti. Similarly, among the candidates for state assembly, Congress’ Chiranjib Biswal and BJD’s Pranab Kumar Balabantray finishes second and third after Niranjan.
Navajyoti, who is contesting from a Congress ticket from Balasore Lok Sabah seat, has declared assets worth Rs 104.20 crore. He is being followed by his BJD rival in the constituency Rabindra Jena with Rs72.61 crore and Baijayanta Panda Rs 57.44 crore.
Niranjan Patnaik, who is the Congress candidate from Bhandaripokhari assembly seat, declares that his total movable and immovable assets is about Rs 60.34 crore. The Congress candidate from Jagatsinghpur Chiranjib Biswal has assets worth Rs 33.89 crore and Pranab Kumar Balabantray, BJD candidate from Dharmasala, has assets worth Rs 17.24 crore.
