New Delhi: Former Odisha director general of police(DGP) Prakash Mishra is likely to get gubernatorial posting soon.

Mishra, who had fought unsuccessfully for the Cuttack Lok Sabha polls in Odisha, may get governorship of one of the North Eastern states. In a couple of months, governors of North Eastern states of Mizoram and Nagaland.

Prakash Mishra, had served the the Odisha government as its DG from 2012 to 2014 and CRPF as its DG from 2014 to 1016. He served the former governor of Uttarakhand KK Paul before plunging into electoral politics in May 2019.

In fact, as many as 9 governors are going to complete their tenures by September, this year. The governors who are going to relinquish their office are West Bengal governor Keshrinath Tripathy, Uttar Pradesh governor Ram Naik, Andhra Pradesh, Telengana, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Goa, Maharastra besides Mizoram and Nagaland.

India Whispers overheard talks in PMO that the Modi regime is also considering to offer him the governorship of bigger states like Rajathan, Andhra Pradesh and Telengana. BJP senior leaders like Sushma Swaraj, Sumitra Mahajan, Uma Bharati are also in the race of governorship.
