Bhubaneswar: Indian Overseas Bank managing director Karnam Sekar urged the Odisha Gramya Bank officers and employees to focus on reduction of NPAs rate.
The MD said that NPAs has become a big stumbling block on the way of banking sector growth in the country. Therefore, he added, the officers and employees should strive hard to control the NPAs as early as possible.
Karnam, who is on a two day visit to the state, was addressing the officers and employees of the Odisha Gramya Bank.
He said that being the sponsored bank of the Odisha Gramya Bank, IOB would extend all possible support to the Odisha based rural bank. According to him, Odisha Gramya Bank has all potential to become a strong and vibrant banker in the state.
Odisha Gramya Bank chairman Brundaban Nayak and Bank’s regional head office chief general manager SS Narang also addressed the meeting.
