New Delhi: The union public grievances & pension(PG&P) minister Jitendra Singh Thursday said that the facilities to give digital life certificate to pensioners unable to come to the bank will be extended to 20 more cities including Bhubaneswar, Cuttack, Balasore, Kolkata, Chennai, Guahati, Madurai, Jalandhar, Ahmedabad, Allhabad, Pune,Hyderabad, Ranchi, Jaipur and Tissure.

The government has started the facilities in 8 cities like Delhi/Noida, Mumbai, Mysore, Chandigarh, Dehradun, Bangaluru, Tiruanathapuram and Vadodara on pilot basis. By December 2018, 2480 pensioners have been benefited by this system. The pension & public grievances ministry has developed a software ‘Bhabishya’ to run this facilities, the minister said.
