Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government has sanctioned 127 projects entailing Rs 295 crore for development of urban infrastructures.
The Board of Director of Odisha Urban Infrastructure Development Fund(OUIDF) chaired by chief secretary AP Padhi Saturday accorded its approval for the projects. The state housing and urban development principal secretary G Mathivatanan presented the details of the projects before the Board while OUIDF CEO and special secretary Prem Kumar Jha presented the technical, administrative and financial details of the projects.
The LED project proposal for 113 ULBs with an investment of Rs 265 crore was approved in the meeting.
The chief secretary directed that the project outcome must be measured to know the effectiveness of spending. The State Urban Development Agency (SUDA) has been appointed as nodal agency to undertake capacity building activities of the personnel of 114 ULBs of the state.
Development commissioner Asit Tripathy, principal secretary finance Ashok Meena, BMC commissioner and CEO of Bhubaneswar smart city Prem Choudhry, and director ULBs Sangram Nayak were present in the meetings.
