Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government Monday appointed senior advocate Ashok Parija as the new advocate general (AG) of the state government.
Parija has been appointed in place of Surya Prasad Mishra.
He joined the bar in 1984 and practiced under the then advocate general Bijaya Kumar Mohanti. Parija was designated as senior advocate of Odisha High Court in 2003. In 2011 Parija was elected as the chairman of Bar Council of India.
