New Delhi: A plastic park will come up at Odisha’s Pradip in Jagatsingpur district.

The union chemical & fertilizer minister, DV Sadananda Gouda, told the Lok Sabha on Tuesday that four plastic park projects have been approved by the Centre. According to him the parks will set up in Jagatsingpur district of Odisha, Tinsukia in Assam, Raisen in Madhya Pradesh, and Thiruvallur in Tamil Nadu.

The union minister said the final approval for the Plastic Park projects in Deogarh in Jharkhand and Bilana in MP has been accorded after the DPRS were ready. The two projects were proposed in 2018-19.

Gouda informed the House that such parks will be set up across the country. In second phase parks will come up in the states of UP, Haryana, Gujarat, Chhattisgarh, Punjab, Uttarakhand, Manipur, Jammu Kashmir, Rajasthan and MP, he disclosed.
