Bhubaneswar: “Sit naked in front of me and deliver the dialogue”, this dialogue has landed a Odia film producer in jail.
JD Rout, a well know film producer, was arrested by Bhubaneswsar police in connection with casting couch allegation by a model aspiring to become an actress in a Netflix web serial. Rout was on the run and police arrested him from Saheed Nagar on Thursday.
According to a complaint filed by the victim, Rout called her to his home on the pretext of conducting an audition for a web series. Rout reportedly asked her to sit naked in front of him and deliver dialogues. The producer had promised her a prominent role in a web series on Netflix and Rs.10,000 per day’s shoot.
Popular Odia film comedian Papu Pom Pom, director Chandi Parija and film producer Subrat Nayak were arrested in casting couch connection in the past.
