Paradip: The Paradip Port Trust (PPT) in association with the Indian Ports Association (IPA) &PortallInfosystems Private Limited organised a road show to create awareness about the ‘Port Community System’ (PCS), here on Thursday.
PCS1X is a cloud-based single user-friendly interface platform, which improves the ease of doing business and maritime trade.
The CAO, IPA, Rajiv Puri, PPT MMD Surveyor S.K.Das, FA & CAO SK Sahu, AND deputy conservator Capt. AK Mohpatra stressed on the connecting all the agencies related to the maritime sector on a single platform. This will promote ease of doing business by adopting world class trade facilitation practices, which will be transparent and cost-effective proposition.It is a “game-changer” for shipping operations, and is set to help reduce the high logistics costs in the country.
The PortallInfosystems Private Limited representatives at the event said that all the trading bodies across maritime sector will be able to come on board as the single platform connects all the stakeholders. PPT TM S.K. Mishra and DTM A.K. Sahu also attended. More than hundred fifty steamer agents, CHAs, transporters, importers & exporters, stevedores, MMDand other stakeholders participated in the road show, informed PPT PRO Prakash Mishra.
