Paradip: The first state-of-the-art 10 MLD (million per day) De-Salinaon Plant in Odisha is going to be commissioned at Paradip Port with an investment of Rs 116 crore.

An MoU regardingconsultng services was signed between PPT & NIOT (Natonal Institute of Ocean Technology, Chennai under union earth science ministry, here on Monday. The MoU was signed between PPT chief engineer K Ramachandra Rao and NIOT project director MV Ramana Murthy. As per this,SWRO (Sea-water Reverse Osmosis) water will be available in PPT township. Floang of tender is likely in this year 2019. This project will supplement the drinking water during the summer season in the port township. This frst of its kind drinking water venture in the state by PPT is a landmark project.
