Odia IRTS officer Purnendu Mishra new Railway Board Member (Traffic).

New Delhi: South Eastern Railway general manager Purnenedu S. Mishra has been appointed as Railway Board Member (Traffic). Mishra is one among the few Odia railway officer who has reached the top position in the Indian Railways.

The joint secretary (Gaz), Railway Board, SK Agarwal, in his letter No.ERB-I/2019/2/54 dated 17.07.2019 has stated,”The president is pleased to approved the appointment of Shri P.S.Mishra, IRTS, General Manager, South Estgern Railway, as Member (Traffic), Railway Board and ex-officio Secretary to the Government of India, in the apex scale of Rs 80,000(pre-revised).
