Bhubaneswar: After promising the Odisha Assembly that the list of Kalia beneficiaries would be in public domain by August, the State Agriculture Minister, Arun Sahoo, is seems to be an hurry in preparing a zero-error list as early as possible.

The State Agriculture department is going to a launch a 15-day drive from August 5 to 20 to prepare the list of the Kalia beneficiaries.

Sahoo has directed his officials and field staff to coordinate with other departments like fisheries, animal husbandry, revenue, co-opeartion, panchyatiraj and prepare a zero-error list of Kalia beneficiaries. He has said that ensure that no one who eligible for the financial assistance under Kalia scheme be left out while preparing the list. At the same time, drop the names who in eligible to be covered under the scheme.

The minister, while addressing a workshop on Kalia, here at Krushi Bhawan, said that the chief minister Naveen Patnaik has stressed on use of 5Ts to provide best possible services to the people. In this case too the officials and employees should use the 5Ts to get a transparent list of Kalia beneficiaries so as to transform not only the life of the farmers but also the entire agriculture and allied sector in the state.

Speaking on the occasion, the Agriculture principal secretary Sourav Garg said the Kalia scheme would have a far reaching positive impact on the farmers and the farming and allied sector in the state.

Agriculture director M Muthukumar and fisheries director Ratnakar Rout also addressed the workshop.
