New Delhi: Five BJP CMs will scout investments in Vladivostok in Russia. They would be part of the business delegation led by union commerce and industry minister Piyush Goyal.
Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath, Maharastra chief minister Devendra Fadnavis, Gujarat chief minister Vijaya Rupani, Haryana chief minister Manoharlal Khattar and Goa chief minister Pramod Sawant will be in Vladivostok from August 11-13. Officials of BJP ruled State Assam will also be part of the delegation. They would explore investment opportunities and strike close partnership with Russia.
The chief ministers will be accompanied by business delegations who will engage with officials and businessmen from the eastern provinces in Russia.
Prime minister Narendra Modi will grace the Eastern Economic Forum at Vladivostok in September as chief guest. The minister’s visit is a precursor to the visit of the prime minister.
The delegation, which includes more than 125 representatives from business stakeholders, will interact with Russian counterparts on opportunities in the mining and processing of diamond and rare metals, railways, agriculture, food processing, oil and gas, coal and power, and pharma.
Indian delegation led by Goyal is expected to clinch some big business at Vladivostok with the Russian eastern provinces which is rich in natural resources. Indian businessmen are already engaged in key sectors like power, coal, oil and gas.
