Bhubaneswar: Two Odisha-cadre IPS officer Dr. Kanwar Vishal Singh and Madkar Sandip Sampath have got the union home minister’s medal for excellency in crime investigations.
This year 96 police officers including 13 women officers were honoured with home minister’s medal for excellency in crime investigation. Among the medal winners, 15 are from CBI, 11 from Maharastra police, 10 Uttar Pradesh, 9 Kerela, 8 Madhya Pradesh and 6 each from Delhi and Karnataka police.
The union home ministry has introduced the medal in 2018 with a view to encourage the police officers for achieving excellency in crime investigations.
