Bhubaneswar: Odisha chief secretary Asit Tripathy has linked the promotion of officers and employees with their performance in implementing chief minister Naveen Patnaik’s 5T initiaves.

The chief secretary, in a letter to all secretaries, has asked to put in place by January 1, 2020 “A clear cut policy for promotion of employees for transformative performance”. He has said, ” All department are to fine tuen their processes and procedures to affect 20% weightage for performances in achievement of 5T in annual appraisal.

The chief minister has given 5T mantra (technologies, teamwork, time, transparency, transformation & ) as the guiding factor for governance.

Chief secretary Trypathy in his August 22nd letter has reminded the secretaries that the deadline for commencing the 5T initiatives by September 15, 2019.

Tripathy has expected, “By this time all the departments have finished their 5T charter on which it is expected that action has already commenced to meet the deadline by September 15, 2019.”

Stating that 5T be implemented full fledged by August 15, 2020, has set task for the departments to complete by the. “I would like to underline certain milestones to be delivered by all departments “, he has adding, ” By 15th August 2020 all public services are to be delivered on line or through Common Services Centres”.
