Bhubaneswar: The Odisha chief minister, Naveen Patnaik, Saturday dismissed six officials and stopped retirement benefits of four officials on corruption charges.
The six officials dismissed have been convicted by vigilance courts of the State.
The chief minister had earlier this month had dismissed 15 officials and stopped retirement benefits of two.
Those were dismissed on Saturday are:
1.Junior clerk Sanjit Kumar Ray working with Kuanrmunda tehsil in Sundergarh.
2. Former Assistant Engineer of Baripada ITDA, Baikuntha Bihari Pradhan. 3. Dr Bhagirathi Biswal, Fisheries and Animal Husbandry department. 4.Junior Engineer Basant Kumar Patra, Panchayati Raj and Drinking Water department, Dhenkanal.
5.Kutra block Panchayat Executive Officer Trilochan Seth, under Sundargarh Collectorate.
6.Bonai block Panchayat Executive Officer Astam Chandra Patel.
The officials whose retirement benefit were stopped are:
1.Former Executive Engineer in Water Resources department, Goutam Chandra Prusty.
2.Former GM of OCC Bikram Keshari Patnaik.
3.Rabindra Kumar Jena, Former Establishment Officer Office of Chief Engineer, Sewerage Board office in Cuttack.
4.Former Junior Engineer in Baripada ITDA, Rabi Narayan Mohanty.
