Bhubaneswar: Water purifier like Aquaguard, Kent and general water filter will be useless in the Smart City Bhubaneswar. For, the government is soon going to supply high quality, pure drinking water to the denizens of the city.
The Odisha housing and urban development minister, Pratap Jena, Sunday declared that the Bhubaneswar city would be supplied with pure drinking water soon. He said that with the supply of the high quality water, there would be no need of water purifier like filters.
Jena, while speaking at the 37th Foundation Day of the Bhubaneswar Development Authority (BDA), here on Sunday, said that mega housing projects have been taken up in Kalinga Nagar,Barmuda, Khordha Haata, Subudhipur muza and Gadakana muza of the Bhubaneswar city.
Appealing the employees and officials of BDA to come up with new and innovative ideas and implement the 5Ts for providing better services to the people. He assured that the employees would be given double promotion as an incentive if they come up with innovative ideas.
The science and technology minister, Ashok Chandra Panda, Bhubaneswar Middle MLA Ananta Narayana Jena, Bhubaneswar North MLA Sushanta Kumar Rout, housing and urban development principal secretary, G Mathevathan, BDA vice-chairman Prem Chandra Choudhry, BDA secretary Rabindra Nath Mishra and BDA Employees Association leader Sabita Mohapatra also graced the occasion.
