Bhubaneswar: Recruiters from reputed organizations including Microsoft, Reliance Industries, Amazon, Deloitte, Robert Bosch, Informatica, Capgemini, MAQ Software and Mu-Sigma have completed their hiring process in Day-Zero slots from the 2020 graduating batch of the Institute of Technical Education and Research (ITER), faculty of engineering of SOA Deemed to be University.

“By the end of August, bright talents from the university have grabbed excellent job opportunities in these companies. After Day-Zero slots, the Day-One major recruiters like Cognizant, Wipro and Infosys are in the process of recruiting the right talent from the ITER campus,” said ITER’s head, training and placement Sujit Kumar Dash.

  Campus placements at ITER had witnessed in a remarkable change in the scenario this year, he said adding the recruiters in the ongoing campus hiring program were selecting students with a self-learning attitude which was being considered the key factor looking into the hiring requirements of different IT and core sector industries.

“To make an impact in the present environment of digital technologies, the graduates needed to enhance their skill sets with a diversified approach irrespective of their branch or specialization of study. The present industries demand a strong leaning towards adaptability from the freshers which can be accomplished based on the conceptual way of learning in all verticals,” said Dash.

Students of the institution had received excellent job offers from Rapyuta Robotics, Odessa Inc, Sigmoid Analytics, Kony, Value Labs and Kloudgin this year. The remarkable feature of the ongoing recruitment drive has been the satisfaction expressed by the recruiters over the performance of ITER students who displayed an excellent attitude to learn besides showing sincerity and dedication.

“They also received high appreciation by the companies with regard to their test performance and overall aspect reflecting their competence and skill,” he said adding “This year we expect 100 per cent placement for eligible students of the 2020 graduating batch in ITER by end of the placement season.”
