Bhubaneswar: Utkal Alumina International Ltd.(UAIL), an Aditya Birla Group company, has bagged the prestigious Mahatma Award for excellence in the field of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) by Liveweek in a glittering function organized at Gurgaon in Delhi.
The award function was organized to commemorate the 150th Birth Anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi on Tuesday. The award was received by Head CSR – Hindalco Bipul Chatterjee, assistant manager Gajendra Naik, and assistant manager Kartikeswar Sahoo from Padma Bhusan Rajashree Birla in presence of Aditya Birla group executive president Pragnya Ram.
Utkal Alumina has been implementing several CSR projects on various sectors in the remote blocks of Kashipur in Rayagada district and Thuamul Rampur in Kalahandi district of Odisha. These interventions have brought visible changes in the lives of the people around.
