Bhubaneswar: The Odisha chief minister, Naveen Patnaik, Monday announced several infrastructure projects for district headquarter hospitals of Sundergarh, Keonjhar and Mayurbhanj besides the Rourkela government Hospital.

Patnaik said that the infrastructure gaps of the Sundergarh, Keonjhar and Mayurbhanj DHHs will be met from the district mineral fund (DMF) of respective districts. The police SPs of Sundergarh, Rourkela and Mayurbhanj will get Rs 10 lakh each to conduct blood donation camps in their respective districts, he added. According to him, the Rogi Kalyan Samities of Mayurbhanj and Rourkela hospitals would each get Rs 15 lakh from the chief minister’s relief fund (CMRF) for patient welfare and innovation.

The chief minister said while the bed strength of Rourkela hospital would be increased to 400, the Sundergarh DHH would be provided with two ambulances and two maha-prayan vehicles.
