Bhubaneswar: With Rabi season setting in, the Odisha government is bracing up to disburse Kalia money to the poor farmers.
The State agriculture principal secretary, Sourav Garg, Tuesday said that all the eligible farmers will receive the second installment of financial assistance under the Krushak Assistance for Livelihood and Income Augmentation (KALIA) scheme in November, next.
The chief secretary, Asit Tripathy, took a meeting with the senior officials of agriculture, cooperation and food supply and consumer welfare department to discuss about the disbursement of the Kalia money.
Garg said that the verification of the genuine Kalia beneficiaries has been completed in the month of August and second tranche will be distributed accordingly.
