Bhubaneswar: The Rural Research & Analysis Committee (RRAC) of Xavier School of Rural Management (XSRM), Xavier University, Bhubaneswar (XUB) conducted its RLLE deliverables synthesis event “Anveshan 2019” at the Xavier city campus, on Friday. The theme for the session was, “State of Rural India 2018-19”.
The event was inaugurated by XSRM dean Prof. S. Peppin by unveiling the website and logo of the committee. RRAC committee member Cyril Bastin released a survey report which covered data on a wide range of aspects related to rural indian households such as agriculture, cropping pattern, sanitation, open defecation, banking and financial services, and work culture among women.
RRAC committee member Dipayan Bardhan unveiled the case study while RRAC committee member Daivakari Kapoor unveiled the village report.
XSRM visiting faculty Prof.Jeevan Arakal addressed the students with respect to the significance of the Rural Living and Learning Experience (RLLE) programme for future rural managers. He further emphasized the need to strengthen their understanding of various socio-economic and cultural aspects of rural India in order to prosper in life.
The committee members from the 2018-20 batch shared their RLLE experiences with the students of 2019-21 batch, in order to prepare them for their upcoming RLLE exposure.
