Odisha DGP Satyajit Mohanty dismisses Mayurbhanj inspector for graft

Cuttack: The director general of police (DGP), Satyajit Mohanty, has dismissed inspector Nalinikanta Mohapatra from government service.

Mohapatra, Ex IIC, Bissamkatak P.S, District – Rayagada now Inspector in Mayurbhanj District has been convicted in Koraput Vigilance P.S Case No 44 Dtd. 29.09.2010 U/s 7 P.C. Act, 1988.
Special Judge, Vigilance, Jeypore in judgement, Dtd. 23.10.2019 in the above case held accused Nalinikanta Mohapatra, Inspector, guilty of the offences U/s 13 (2) P.C. Act, 1988.
Inspector Nalinikanta Mohapatra, was dismissed from service by DGP in exercise of powers conferred under article 311 (2) (b) of the constitution of India and Rule 828 read with appendix 49 (12) (c) of the Odisha Police Manual.
