Konark(Odisha) : The five-day International Sand Art Festival got off, here on Sunday. Over 123 sand artistes from 7 countries have show cased their art pieces in 44 stalls.
Under the aegis of intergenerational famed sand artist Sudarsan Patnaik, who is also the brand ambassador of Odisha Tourism, the participants have recreated the glorious history and heritage of Odisha through their artistic creations.
The artistes will present their creative creations on five different themes in the five days.
Odisha Tourism minister Jyoti Prakash Panigrahi inaugurated the Festval. Sports minister Tusharkanti Behera, OTDC chairperson Srimayee Mishra, tourism secretary Vishal Dev, tourism director Ram Yadav were present.
