Bhubaneswar: Former bureaucrat and eminent Odia short story writer Tarun Kanta Mishra will get Central Sahitya Academy Award for his book Bhaswati.

Mishra was the chief secretary of Odisha before his retirement from IAS service.

The Sahitya Akademi announced its annual Sahitya Akademi Award-2019 in 23 languages today.

The award in the form of a casket containing an engraved copper plaque, a shawl and Rs 1,00,000 will be presented to Mishra at a special function to be held on February 25, 2020 at New Delhi during the Festival of Letters organized by Sahitya Akademi.
