Bhubaneswar: The Odisha chief minister, Naveen Patnaik, Wednesday launched various developmental projects worth Rs 250 crore in Mayurbhanj district. He laid the foundation stone of projects worth Rs 200 crore and inaugurated projects worth Rs 50 crore. The projects are in roads, bridges and drinking water supply sector.
Patnaik also announced Rs 5 crore for the development of Baripada Jaganath temple. He also assured that fund would be arranged for development of tourism places like Khiching, Debakunda.
The chief minister inaugurated the Adani-KISS residential school for schedule tribe people in Baripada on this occasion. Addressing the students, he said that more than 6 lakh scheduled tribe students are reading in 6500 schools in the State. According to him the government has opened residential schools in the urban areas to impart teaching in English medium.
