Bhubaneswar: National awardee film director Manmohan Mohapatra has passed away, here on Monday. He was 69.
Mohapatra’s son Mantosh Mahapatra has said that his father died while under treament in a private hospital in Bhubaneswar city.
Mohapatra had earned a name in the national cinema world for his art and parallel films. Niraba Jhada, Klanta Aparahna, Andha Diganta, Bits and Pieces and Agni Bina are some of his most acclaimed cinemas. Recently his Bhija Matira Basna film had won best film award from the State government.
