Paradip: Asish Kumar Bose assumed charge as deputy chairman of Paradip Port Trust.
Bose was traffic manager of Mumbai Port Trust for over 3 years before being posted in Paradip Port. Prior to joining Mumbai Port, he had held the post of chief manager (Traffic) in JNPT for three years since 2013 and before this, he was traffic manager, Mormugao Port Trust.
A post graduate in science from Patna University, Bose had joined the port sector as a management trainee at Kolkata Port Trust on 1st January 1986. Thereafter, he joined Haldia Dock Complex under Kolkata Port Trust as Traffic Officer in January1987 and worked there in various capacities. He has wide experience in port railway operations, handling of bulk cargo and containers.
