Bhubaneswar: The Odisha 5T secretary, VK Pandian, has visited Talasari seabeach in Bhograi block of Balasore district on Monday with a view to develop the site as a major tourist destination of the country.

The State chief secretary, Asit Tripathy, and Pandian made a on the spot survey of the tourism potential of the Talasari seabeach. The two senior officers also visited the Subarnadeepa island which is famous for its rich mangrove forests.

Tourism facilities would be developed along beach with luxury hotels and other recreational avenues like watersports. For this 51 acres forest land will acquired. About 36 villages along the coastline would be developed for the purpose.
