Odisha Police DGP orders probe into BJD woman leader’s self immolation case

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Police DGP, Abhay, Monday directed a probe into the self-immolation case of BJD woman leader Meenakhi Mishra. Minakhi had set herself afire in the office premises Ganjam district police SP.

Police IG modernization Rekha Lohani will probe into the matter.

Menakhi, protesting against her son’s arrest, doused herself with kerosene and set herself afire. She succumbed her injuries in Cuttack SCB Medical College where she was admitted for treatment.
