Bhubaneswar: Odisha government on Saturday has approved three investment proposals worth Rs 6923.26 crore which will create 4638 new jobs.

At the 22nd High Level Clearance Authority (HLCA) meeting held under the chairmanship of chief minister Naveen Patnaik cleared the proposals in the steel sector.

M/s. Thriveni Earthmovers Private Ltd. is proposing to set up 30 MTPA beneficiation plant in two phases at Deojhar in Kenonjar district with a total investment of Rs. 1426.75 crore providing employment to about 884 people.

M/s Thriveni Earthmovers Private Ltd. is also proposing for expansion of pellet plant capacity of 24 MTPA pellet plant in three phases, located at Paradip with additional investment of Rs 3396.51 crores providing additional employment of 954 people.

The proposal of M/s Orissa Metaliks Private Limited for setting up of a 1.2 MTPA Integrated Steel Plant along with 225MW CPP at- Nayagarh, District – Keonjhar with a total investment of Rs. 2100 crore providing employment of 2800 people was also approved by HLCA.

On Friday 90thState Level Single Window Clearance Authority (SLSWCA) under the chairmanship of chief secretary Asit Tripathy has accorded approval to two investment proposals worth Rs 563 crore. The two projects will create more employment opportunities for 1273 people. The projects were approved in plastics, downstream aluminium among others..

The SLSWCA approved the proposal of M/s Glen Industries Pvt. Ltd. to set up Plastic Food Containers & Moulded Paper products manufacturing unit with annual capacity of 9261 MT, with a total investment of Rs. 63crore andproviding employment to about 273 people.

It also approved the proposal of M/s Jindal Aluminium Limited to ramp up its plant capacity by setting up 75,000 MT / annum Aluminium Extrusions plant with additional investment of Rs. 500 crore. The project will provide an additional employment opportunities for 1000 people.
