Bhubaneswar: The All India Institute of Medical Science, Bhubaneswar (AIIM-B) handed over degrees to 192 MBBS, 108 BSc Nursing, BSc Paramedical 28, and MD/MS 17 successful students of 2013 and 2014 batches at the 3rd Convocation of the institute, here on Saturday.

Doctor Manisha Mohanty of 2013 batch received 11 gold medals while doctor Rosalin of 2014 batch got 13 gold medals. Similarly, Rajlakshmi and Asli Josh of BSc Nursing and Nabnit Kumar, Samuga Sunaram and Jagajyoti of BSc Paramedical.

Delivering the convocational address, Indian Council of Medical Research director and union health research department secretary Padmashri Prof. Balram Bargav announced that funds will be sanctioned for BSL-3 and micrology lab of the Research Microbium Centre of AIIMS-B.

The Convocation was also addressed by Public Health Foundation of India president Padmabhusan Doctor K Srinath Reddy.

AIIMS- Bhubaneswar managing committee president Padmashri Prof. Doctor Subrat Acharya, director Prof. Doctor Gitanjali B., registrar BB Mishra and dean prof. SC Mohapatra also spoke on the occasion.
