Bhubaneswar: An all women crew member special goods train ran between from Khureda Road to Palasa in Odisha on Saturday. The special train was part of the Khurda Road Railway division of East Coast Railway (ECoR) as part of the railway zone’s International Women’s Day Campaign started from March 1.
The train will be run by all women crew members – loco pilot Munni Tigga, assistant loco pilot Rajeswari Biswal and guard Revti Singh.
With the theme “Each for Equal”, East Coast Railway, Khurda Road division is observing International Women’s day campaign” from 1st March 2020 to 10th March 2020. For the convenience of lady Running staff, division has provided lady running rooms at various stations.
” These women employees are the pride of the division and are also an inspiration to the society”, said a spokesperson of ECoR.
