Bhubaneswar: Following the lifting of moratorium at 6PM on Wednesday, Yes Bank is going to pay Rs 389 crore (principal and interest of fourth quarter) to the Puri Jaganath Temple on Thursday.

Jaganath Temple administrator Ajaya Jena said that the first trance of deposited amount would be e-transfered to Temple’s UCO Bank account.

The fixed deposit amount of the Temple is maturing on Thursday . The Bank is going to pay Rs156 crore(principal and interest of fourth quarter) fixed deposit on March 30 on being matured.

The Yes Bank has paid the quarterly interest on the total fixed deposit of Rs 545 crore till December 2019.

However, following the RBI take over of the bank on March 6 and imposed a moratorium on payments, apprehension were raised about the fate of the Jaganath Temple fund.
